Own theme, downloads available

Long time since I added some news, but this time it is a lot of news. My own theme (simple but mine), my PostNuke modifications available in Download section, it seems the wheels are moving.
Today I spent our whole „state holiday“ (our country was freed from Austrian monarchy on 28th October) with my computer and I worked on the theme for my site. I know it is simple, but I will definitely work on it in the future and I want to bring more themes in the future as well. Anyway, this team should be a simple but decent visual presentation of my site and I hope it is so.

With some last minor modifications I also release my first PostNuke modifications along with RESL script in the Downloads area.

RSSi blocks adds images to items and options for display when no news were fetched.

pnUserRegOptions allows admin to block free registration of new users to the site.

RESL is generic PHP script (ie. not PostNuke specific) that is able to fetch auctions from eBay, format them into RSS format and return them – and there are many parsers of RSS format, including RSSi mentioned above.

I made first enhancements to RESL php script and by modifing PostNuke RSS block I made an advanced RSSi block.

RESL came to testing version of 0.2, with these changes:

RESL accepts new argument iw (for ignore words), which is a list of words (in format word1:word2:…) that it will remove from auction topic to make the heading shorter.

I made some slight output changes (handling of \n char) so the parser in RSS block parses RESL output perfect and displays description etc.

some other minor cleaning of code.

As I wanted some more functionality for my auctions list, that original RSS block doesn’t handle, I decided to adopt it and RSSi block (my first PostNuke block) was created. Here is the new functionality, differing from original RSS block:

Every headline can have an image to be displayed. I use it for „gallery“ images of auctions. It is able to specify position of image (left, right or no-image) and size of image.

It is able to specify a kind of default text, that shows when there are no headlines fetched (ie. for my usage when I have no auctions on eBay).

All right, that’s all for now, next step will be the Czech language.

RESL 0.1 finished

Well, the first beta of „RSS eBay Seller List“ script is finished and in testing on the site (see right block). I think it runs well for the fact that this is my first (sensible) PHP script yet. What I plan to do:

argument $ma = max auctions (limit the maximum of auctions)

parsing auctions divided to more web pages

localization, at least partial for English/Czech.

Well, have some other things at the moment, but I will return to it soon!

All right, the PostNuke testing period is started. There is a lot of work ahead, but hopefully we’ll get it done soon. Here is just a small TODO list, what I want to do:

Czech language
My own theme
eBay auctions block
Mordheim section
Miniatures gallery (module?)
Other sections (Warhammer, Comics, etc.)
